Howdy!

I am currently the Research Data Coordinator in Suna Kıraç Library, Koç University.

I received my PhD in Political Science from Rice University (2019). I worked with Cliff Morgan as his research assistant on the Threat and Imposition of Economic Sanctions (TIES) Dataset. Cliff was also the chair of my dissertation committee.

My research interests include the development, proliferation, and use or display of WMD (missiles and nuclear weapons), and sanctions. As an ardent positivist, I employ formal theory and statistical models to develop falsifiable research.

I am the curator of the Missile Tests Dataset. This dataset contains daily records of live missile tests from all countries between 1943 and 2015. The current version (v.2.0) can be found on the “Missile Tests Dataset” tab of this website.

Previously, I worked as a lecturer at Rice and Yeditepe Universities and as a research associate at the Middle East Center of Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy.
